Verner Johnsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Kal - El's players had a chance to rest. In the 26th minute, Verner Johnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Ortle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Verner Johnsson in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvio Ortle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Gerardo Mayfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Conakry FC's zone, Jonah Lockhart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Ortle came out of the goal and Jonah Lockhart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
