In the 30th match minute, Phoenix Suns Atletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murray Teague to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Jon Chen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteban Lord might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bill Burger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteban Lord ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute, Esteban Lord left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mechanical Orange FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Esteban Lord might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bill Burger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteban Lord ran back to his position shaking his head. Bill Burger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Lord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dieguinho do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Phoenix Suns Atletic players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mechanical Orange FC were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Lord made a kick off. After 71st play minutes Esteban Lord shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Bill Burger and just under the crossbar into goal. Mechanical Orange FC's James Jennings was substituted for Fance Salisbury. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Lord in the 79th minute of play forced Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper Bill Burger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mechanical Orange FC booed when Phoenix Suns Atletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murray Teague didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Jennings could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bill Burger made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Suns Atletic's zone, Esteban Lord stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Burger came out of the goal and Esteban Lord tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Lord came free, but Bill Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mechanical Orange FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
