Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyd Donnelly came out and tried to block the shot, but Esteban Lord slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waterbury Rangers's goalkeeper Boyd Donnelly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match Mechanical Orange FC got a corner. Waterbury Rangers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. James Jennings ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Mechanical Orange FC's James Jennings to fire away a dangerous shot which Boyd Donnelly despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shayne Cagle in the 14th minute of play forced Mechanical Orange FC's goalkeeper Jacob Oliver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Cordero in the 15th minute of play forced Mechanical Orange FC's goalkeeper Jacob Oliver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Shayne Cagle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Oliver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Oliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shayne Cagle in the 22nd minute of the match. Rodolfo Cordero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Oliver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mechanical Orange FC's goalie and right to Alfonso Buck. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mechanical Orange FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mechanical Orange FC's Fance Salisbury was substituted for James Jennings. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Lord got free with Boyd Donnelly in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Preston Winston kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Boyd Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fance Salisbury in the 35th minute of play. Waterbury Rangers's Boyd Donnelly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Waterbury Rangers from getting a goal against them. Esteban Lord might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boyd Donnelly. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Esteban Lord ran back to his position shaking his head. Boyd Donnelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Lord, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A hard shot 42 in the game by Esteban Lord from a close distance when the talented Boyd Donnelly managed to make a qualified save. Waterbury Rangers's players were relieved. After 46 minutes, Alfonso Buck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Waterbury Rangers and the Mechanical Orange FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mechanical Orange FC booed when Waterbury Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Buck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waterbury Rangers's Domingo Wells was substituted for Alfonso Buck. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolfo Cordero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Josiah Casey kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jude Blankenship could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Jacob Oliver made a huge save. Jacob Oliver showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Blankenship in the 59th minute of the match. Esteban Lord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shayne Cagle in the 75th minute of play forced Mechanical Orange FC's goalkeeper Jacob Oliver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Waterbury Rangers booed when Mechanical Orange FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazaro Pace didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Mechanical Orange FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Lazaro Pace hit a great ball. The supporters of Waterbury Rangers booed when Mechanical Orange FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazaro Pace didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryan Esparza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacob Oliver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Ryan Esparza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jacob Oliver was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Waterbury Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Cliff Reaves came free, but Boyd Donnelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes of play, Mechanical Orange FC's Cliff Reaves made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boyd Donnelly was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boyd Donnelly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Reaves in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Waterbury Rangers's goalkeeper Boyd Donnelly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute Mechanical Orange FC were awarded a corner. Cliff Reaves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cliff Reaves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Boyd Donnelly quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cliff Reaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
