In the 14th minute Marshall Titus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phoenix Suns Atletic's Bill Burger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Parker in the 16th minute of play. US Army:s Brant Benson showed great skill when he stopped Enoch Hood:s penalty. Octavio Parker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bill Burger having to make a save. In the 67th minute Octavio Parker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryce McGowan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bill Burger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. The Phoenix Suns Atletic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. US Army were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
