Brant Benson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson Terra in the 3rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Geoffrey Robillard put in a rough tackle. The referee gave US Army a penalty, 12 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brad Murdock, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Conakry FC's Silvio Ortle. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Conakry FC's Gerardo Mayfield got a free kick in the 15th minute. US Army's Brad Murdock couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Conakry FC. 20 minutes into the match, Conakry FC's Anton Meertens sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brant Benson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brant Benson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Meertens in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Kasey Poole hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd match minute, Conakry FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Pierres to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, US Army's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Meertens came free, but Brant Benson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Meertens in the 30th minute of play forced US Army's goalkeeper Brant Benson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Conakry FC's Anton Meertens nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brant Benson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Conakry FC booed when US Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Poole didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Meertens in the 34th minute of play forced US Army's goalkeeper Brant Benson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Anton Meertens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brant Benson. US Army's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Meertens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Franco Crispino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The supporters of US Army booed when Conakry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Pierres didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryce McGowan in the 53rd minute of play forced Conakry FC's goalkeeper Silvio Ortle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Durham hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Vali Miclovan with Joaquin Pineda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A sloppy throw-in by Nathan Weeks in the 58th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Conakry FC's Fernan Pierres. Conakry FC made a substitution. Marian Czekaj replaced Anton Meertens. Marshall Titus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Ortle having to interfere. Kelly Hawkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brant Benson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in US Army's zone, Kelly Hawkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brant Benson came out of the goal and Kelly Hawkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Titus in the 69th minute of play. Brant Benson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Czekaj, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Parker in the 74th minute of play. Conakry FC made a substitution. Oliver McCarthy replaced Fernan Pierres. Marian Czekaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conakry FC made a substitution. Cyrus Bradley replaced Jefferson Terra. 82 minutes into the game, Octavio Parker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Silvio Ortle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvio Ortle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Parker in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Conakry FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Brad Murdock was slow to take the kick. During this time US Army's players had a chance to rest. In the 87th match minute, US Army was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Parker to maneuver through the defense. Octavio Parker took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Ortle. Silvio Ortle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Marian Czekaj hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. US Army were victorious despite being under pressure from Conakry FC for much of the match.
