Bryant Sellers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Jamel Ivy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Daley during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ding Mata's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitch Snow read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, Universitatea7 Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mei Wei Feng to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Universitatea7 Cluj defense, Yacine Benyamina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jamel Ivy. The Universitatea7 Cluj fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jamel Ivy should have stopped the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Bryant Sellers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jamel Ivy. Bryant Sellers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryant Sellers got free with Jamel Ivy in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryant Sellers in the 21st minute of play forced Universitatea7 Cluj's goalkeeper Jamel Ivy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Yacine Benyamina fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Universitatea7 Cluj booed when New Hampton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scot Douglas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamel Ivy came out and tried to block the shot, but Sterling Busby slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Universitatea7 Cluj's Jamel Ivy got control of the ball when Bryant Sellers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Alvarenga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Milo Schmitt fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Universitatea7 Cluj's protests and gave Milo Schmitt a yellow card for diving instead. Milo Schmitt kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Jamel Ivy was a little too slow when Yacine Benyamina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 4-0. Mitch Snow stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milo Schmitt's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

After a rather tough play, New Hampton AFC's Ola Palmkvist got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ding Mata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mitch Snow having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ding Mata in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitch Snow saved New Hampton AFC from getting behind. Jamel Ivy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sterling Busby, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 67th minute, Bryant Sellers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Universitatea7 Cluj getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jonas Alvarenga hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Emerson Cao Xiao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jamel Ivy was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. The supporters of New Hampton AFC booed when Universitatea7 Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilmer Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Emerson Cao Xiao put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jamel Ivy. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The New Hampton AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Universitatea7 Cluj had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
