Jamel Ivy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolan Abernathy in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Nolan Abernathy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Universitatea7 Cluj's Jamel Ivy. Jamel Ivy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nolan Abernathy might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamel Ivy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nolan Abernathy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 14th minute, Nolan Abernathy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jamel Ivy was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Jamel Ivy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nolan Abernathy went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Nolan Abernathy took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jamel Ivy. Jamel Ivy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nolan Abernathy in the 26th minute of play forced Universitatea7 Cluj's goalkeeper Jamel Ivy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Golden Hills fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Golden Hills's Nolan Abernathy looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Jerold Brownell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nolan Abernathy might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamel Ivy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nolan Abernathy ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Nolan Abernathy put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Jamel Ivy. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ding Mata was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th match minute, Universitatea7 Cluj was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atacan İlkut to maneuver through the defense. Nolan Abernathy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamel Ivy having to make a save. Nolan Abernathy might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamel Ivy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nolan Abernathy ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milo Schmitt in the 67th minute of play forced Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jerold Brownell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilmer Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Golden Hills booed when Universitatea7 Cluj was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jamel Ivy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nolan Abernathy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nolan Abernathy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jamel Ivy made a huge save. After having played for 95 minutes, Nolan Abernathy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Hills's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nolan Abernathy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ward Doran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jamel Ivy having to make a save. Golden Hills played a much better game than Universitatea7 Cluj and deserved their victory. The Universitatea7 Cluj players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
