Spectators: 8513 (Terracing: 6385, Seating: 1958, VIP seats: 170) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Keenan Blake started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keenan Blake in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg D.J. McCollum saved UC Berleley from getting behind. D.J. McCollum made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Joel Pollard sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keenan Blake in the 6th minute of play forced UC Berleley's goalkeeper D.J. McCollum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Lake Junaluska FC defense, Karahan Uçkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hilario Carro. The Lake Junaluska FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilario Carro should have stopped the shot. If Keenan Blake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Lake Junaluska FC's Joel Pollard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. D.J. McCollum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a rather tough play, UC Berleley's Karahan Uçkan got a free kick in the 21st minute. Darron Messer might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over D.J. McCollum. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darron Messer ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Lake Junaluska FC booed when UC Berleley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Varner didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 30 minutes, Keenan Blake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Junaluska FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keenan Blake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Karahan Uçkan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilario Carro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Sesuldo in the 40th minute of play forced Lake Junaluska FC's goalkeeper Hilario Carro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Sesuldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Carro having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

UC Berleley made a substitution. Adam Yu replaced Gabriel Tillman. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Sesuldo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Macías Pajazo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hilario Carro. That made the score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Lake Junaluska FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karahan Uçkan came free, but Hilario Carro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Sesuldo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Carro. Hilario Carro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. 67 minutes into the game, Joel Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. D.J. McCollum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hilario Carro made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Leopoldo Sesuldo sent off a good shot on target. Lake Junaluska FC's Hilario Carro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Lake Junaluska FC from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute, UC Berleley's Karahan Uçkan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. 77 minutes into the game, UC Berleley's Macías Pajazo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hilario Carro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-7. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lake Junaluska FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Macías Pajazo was slow to take the kick. During this time UC Berleley's players had a chance to rest. Hilario Carro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Macías Pajazo in the 88th minute of play. Leopoldo Sesuldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Carro having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Sesuldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Carro. Lake Junaluska FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Sesuldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-8. The Lake Junaluska FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching UC Berleley's performance. The match ended with a win for UC Berleley.
