Nestor de Barros's late challenge caught a Tango en Miami FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nestor de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd match minute, Sajokia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor de Barros to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aírton Vianna in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otto Hegeman saved Tango en Miami FC from getting behind. 7 minutes into the game, Tango en Miami FC's Jarvis McLaughlin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miomir Knežević made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 11 minutes into the game, Jarvis McLaughlin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Miomir Knežević was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Izydor Trela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Miomir Knežević made a huge save. Miomir Knežević was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Jarvis McLaughlin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jarvis McLaughlin really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. If Jarvis McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nestor de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Sajokia's goal looked a bit too open when Bernabe Bazo came free, but Miomir Knežević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miomir Knežević made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jarvis McLaughlin sent off a good shot on target. Miomir Knežević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Bazo in the 34th minute of the match. Simon Wang hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Sajokia's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Paz came free, but Miomir Knežević reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Kareem Nixon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miomir Knežević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarvis McLaughlin in the 47th minute of play. In the 48th match minute, Sajokia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiaan Bruyninckx to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Bazo in the 55th minute of play forced Sajokia's goalkeeper Miomir Knežević to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miomir Knežević didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarvis McLaughlin went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Sajokia's zone, Bernabe Bazo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miomir Knežević came out of the goal and Bernabe Bazo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Izydor Trela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Miomir Knežević tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miomir Knežević showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Trela, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute, Nistor Porumbescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tango en Miami FC's Sebastian Cuenca got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Julian Barrera sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Otto Hegeman threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Julian Barrera this time. Miomir Knežević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Bazo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kareem Nixon hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Tango en Miami FC booed when Sajokia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Krause didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84th play minutes Jarvis McLaughlin shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Miomir Knežević and just under the crossbar into goal. Miomir Knežević showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarvis McLaughlin in the 92nd minute of the match. Tango en Miami FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
