The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 played minutes Huestes de Excalibur got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Mata. In the 17th match minute, Huestes de Excalibur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejandro Guib to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dexter Ogden got free with Johnny Regan in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th match minute, Huestes de Excalibur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Mata to maneuver through the defense. Johnny Regan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deshawn Steiner in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Huestes de Excalibur booed when Houston Fire F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rueben Horn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 minutes Houston Fire F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rory Wagner who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John McCain in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Regan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aquilino Rameriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonček Kraljič in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute Umur Torhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquilino Rameriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Abraham Lincoln hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell John McCain to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Houston Fire F.C.'s Abraham Lincoln seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Abraham Lincoln the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Houston Fire F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Abraham Lincoln had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 52 played minutes Houston Fire F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Lincoln. After a defensive mix-up in Houston Fire F.C.'s zone, Rory Wagner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Rameriz came out of the goal and Rory Wagner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Louis Escobedo hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Aquilino Rameriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tonček Kraljič's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Aquilino Rameriz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Umur Torhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, John McCain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Houston Fire F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but John McCain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Regan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Aquilino Rameriz managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Huestes de Excalibur's Tonček Kraljič fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 76 minutes Houston Fire F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rory Wagner who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Umur Torhan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Houston Fire F.C.'s Aquilino Rameriz did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tonček Kraljič in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Rameriz saved Houston Fire F.C. from getting behind. Umur Torhan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Aquilino Rameriz made a huge save. Houston Fire F.C.'s Aquilino Rameriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Houston Fire F.C. from getting a goal against them. When John McCain fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Houston Fire F.C.'s protests and gave John McCain a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, John McCain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tonček Kraljič kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
