Spectators: 8204 (Terracing: 6150, Seating: 1890, VIP seats: 164) Los Angeles Galaxy's Zbyszek Brysz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind White Sands's goalkeeper Davis Stern, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 4th minute, Los Angeles Galaxy's Al Mims ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Davis Stern. Davis Stern yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Davis Stern made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elliot Sellers in the 6th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Angeles Galaxy's Al Mims slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Davis Stern. That made the score 2-0 after 8 minutes of play. With splendid footwork Zbyszek Brysz arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 11th minute. The supporters of Los Angeles Galaxy booed when White Sands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sol Caballero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Terrell McLaughlin managed to get in a good position for a shot. White Sands's supporters rose to their feet, but Terrell McLaughlin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wade Hightower breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. White Sands's Davis Stern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donny Read in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Los Angeles Galaxy's Donny Read slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Davis Stern. That made the score 5-0 after 25 minutes of play. Zbyszek Brysz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernie Cotton kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, White Sands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Cordero to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Zbyszek Brysz put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Davis Stern. Davis Stern made an important save on a dangerous shot by Al Mims in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Al Mims had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Davis Stern. White Sands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Al Mims was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sol Caballero to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Donny Read left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Angeles Galaxy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Davis Stern showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Al Mims, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Al Mims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davis Stern saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zbyszek Brysz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Davis Stern was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Davis Stern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbyszek Brysz in the 60th minute of play. White Sands's Davis Stern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Mims in the 62nd minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Donny Read got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Davis Stern made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Mims in the 68th minute of play. Davis Stern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Al Mims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the White Sands defense, Al Mims kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davis Stern. The White Sands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davis Stern should have stopped the shot. Zbyszek Brysz took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Davis Stern. Davis Stern dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. After 80 minutes, Miles Baker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the White Sands and the Los Angeles Galaxy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 82 played minutes White Sands got a freekick which was hit by Miles Baker. After 83 played minutes White Sands got a freekick which was hit by Rosario Price. Zbyszek Brysz scored 12-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davis Stern, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Namık Kemal Dersu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Davis Stern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Al Mims made a precise shot to the right of Davis Stern. White Sands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 13-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zbyszek Brysz in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davis Stern saved White Sands from getting behind.
