When Shawn Hood fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Oahu Wave Riders's protests and gave Shawn Hood a yellow card for diving instead. Shawn Hood hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. West Oahu Wave Riders's Allan McClellan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuel Corley in the 16th minute of play.
