Nigel Croft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hal Mackey having to interfere. Philip McNair showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Corley in the 13th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Tomas Sherman put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Philip McNair. After having played for 21 minutes, Jack Ferris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team NCIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Ferris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tomas Sherman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip McNair was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. The penalty shot was made by Emmanuel Corley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Team NCIS's Philip McNair. 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Sherman in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip McNair prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Emmanuel Corley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Philip McNair was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Emmanuel Corley made the kick off in the second half. Philip McNair stood somewhat misplaced when Tomas Sherman came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 51 minute. Hal Mackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rich Dozier in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Monroe Munoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philip McNair prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Philip McNair stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Sherman's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Philip McNair successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Western Springs FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
