The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Freddie Farris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Cleveland in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Timothy Woodson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Derek Cleveland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddie Farris having to interfere. Rodrick Hardy hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Josiah Phelps hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Erma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winston Hutchison didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 19 minutes, Alfredo Hartman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rebel Squids's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Hartman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Timothy Woodson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. If Tim Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Tim Davila rounded Erma's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 36th minute, Tim Davila fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Chris Beal, passed just outside the right post. Timothy Woodson kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Davila got free with Chris Beal in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Hammer hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match, Tim Davila got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chris Beal was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Erma's goalkeeper Chris Beal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicky Prescott. Rebel Squids were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Erma's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tim Davila took the corner. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Derek Cleveland to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Erma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winston Hutchison didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Monty Kruse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Farris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josiah Phelps, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Freddie Farris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derek Cleveland in the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Rebel Squids's goal looked a bit too open when Derek Cleveland came free, but Freddie Farris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russ Mooney hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Tim Davila took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chris Beal. Chris Beal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Derek Cleveland during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Erma got a freekick which was hit by Derek Cleveland. Nicky Prescott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Nicky Prescott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rebel Squids's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Prescott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Rebel Squids were the better team. Rebel Squids's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
