Freddie Farris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis Wyatt in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Rebel Squids's goal looked a bit too open when Louis Wyatt came free, but Freddie Farris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Devon Urbina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Farris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Freddie Farris made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Louis Wyatt sent off a good shot on target. Dexter Post made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Burger in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Rebel Squids getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Rodrick Hardy hit a great ball. Dexter Post didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tim Davila went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Tim Davila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicky Prescott took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dexter Post. Dexter Post dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Nicky Prescott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Louis Wyatt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Farris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Boyer in the 41st minute of play forced Rebel Squids's goalkeeper Freddie Farris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rebel Squids's Freddie Farris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Rebel Squids from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Louis Wyatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Freddie Farris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Davila was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Rebel Squids's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Rebel Squids booed when Futabu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Lemon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tim Davila was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Tim Davila hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Tim Davila left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rebel Squids fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Tim Davila's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Dexter Post skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tim Davilas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Dexter Post to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 80 minutes of play, Futabu's Graig Randall made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddie Farris was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd match minute, Rebel Squids was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrick Hardy to maneuver through the defense. Von Terrell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Freddie Farris. Rebel Squids's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dexter Post made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Davila in the 86th minute. Louis Wyatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tim Davila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
