The tension between the Scum Utd and the Banfield FI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Scum Utd's Everett Burke got a free kick in the 7th minute. Tom Kyle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Quinton Rivers's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Tom Kyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Len McAllister, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Tom Kyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinton Rivers in the 14th minute of the match. Quinton Rivers took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tom Kyle. Tom Kyle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 24thth minute of the game Quinton Rivers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scum Utd's Tom Kyle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th minute Banfield FI were awarded a corner. Quinton Rivers went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Quinton Rivers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tom Kyle quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tom Kyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milan Henson, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Quinton Rivers made the kick off in the second half. Quinton Rivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute, Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tom Kyle. Tom Kyle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Tom Kyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinton Rivers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinton Rivers in the 67th minute of play forced Scum Utd's goalkeeper Tom Kyle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Kyle didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 72nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Tom Kyle was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Quinton Rivers. When Owen Rush fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scum Utd's protests and gave Owen Rush a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Scum Utd getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Owen Rush hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match Quinton Rivers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Kyle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Banfield FI's Maurício Roriz got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of Scum Utd booed when Banfield FI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Dotson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th match minute, Scum Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Owen Rush to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theron Street in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markus Bachman saved Banfield FI from getting behind. Tom Kyle made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Quinton Rivers sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Scum Utd's Tom Kyle got control of the ball when Quinton Rivers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tom Kyle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quinton Rivers in the 96th minute. In the 98th minute Everett Burke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Bachman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Scum Utd supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Banfield FI's performance. The match ended with a win for Banfield FI.
