Bermuda Dunes FC's Devin Purvis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinton Rivers in the 15th minute of play. Banfield FI were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Bermuda Dunes FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Quinton Rivers took the corner. The corner ended in Staffan Kämpe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bermuda Dunes FC's Devin Purvis did a great save. 19 minutes into the match, Bermuda Dunes FC's goalkeeper Devin Purvis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Ledochowski. A collision led to Banfield FI getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Virgilio Cowan hit a great ball. Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Fisher received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Devin Purvis came out and tried to block the shot, but Julio Fisher slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Bermuda Dunes FC booed when Banfield FI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devin Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quinton Rivers in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes Bermuda Dunes FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Quinton Rivers who took care of the corner kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abraham Mora to strike the kick off in the second half. Markus Bachman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Mora in the 52nd minute of the match. Quinton Rivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgilio Cowan charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Cowan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the Banfield FI defense, Dante Fish kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Bachman. The Banfield FI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Bachman should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Banfield FI booed when Bermuda Dunes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Peterson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Quinton Rivers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield FI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quinton Rivers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the game, Quinton Rivers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Devin Purvis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th match minute, Bermuda Dunes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lazaro Fox to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Randy Whitten in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Banfield FI's Leon Ledochowski.
