Roland Dömötör showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinton Rivers, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tyrell Lambert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casey Rowley charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Casey Rowley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Casey Rowley. If Staffan Kämpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leon Ledochowski scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roland Dömötör, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Banfield FI's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Quinton Rivers in the 22nd minute. In the 28th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casey Rowley to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th match minute, Arsenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Titus Bland to maneuver through the defense. Banfield FI's Virgilio Cowan suffered a concussion in the 32nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Reynaldo Connors's late challenge caught a Banfield FI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Connors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quinton Rivers in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Dömötör prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Quinton Rivers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roland Dömötör was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. The supporters of Banfield FI booed when Arsenal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casey Rowley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Dömötör showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinton Rivers in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Quinton Rivers notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Arsenal's Roland Dömötör. Roland Dömötör was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Arsenal defense, Staffan Kämpe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roland Dömötör. The Arsenal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Dömötör should have stopped the shot. Tyrell Lambert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Arsenal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Banfield FI were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Quinton Rivers to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Benito Connolly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Dömötör showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinton Rivers, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th minute of the match Banfield FI got a corner. Arsenal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Quinton Rivers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roland Dömötör in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tyrell Lambert did an outstanding performance 71 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-4 to the right of an irritated Markus Bachman in the goal. Staffan Kämpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Roland Dömötör made a huge save. In the 78th minute, Reynaldo Connors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The crowd rose to their feet as Julio Fisher kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roland Dömötör. That made the score 2-5 in the 83 minute of play. Reynaldo Connors kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Roland Dömötör made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Len McAllister sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Reynaldo Connors left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-6. The Arsenal fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Banfield FI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
