Alistair Estes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Kämpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Ciccaglione in the 16th minute of play forced Banfield FI's goalkeeper Markus Bachman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desmond Bruner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Bachman having to interfere. Marcos Ciccaglione struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Markus Bachman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forest SC. In the 20th minute, Elequemedo Vinambres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alistair Estes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With an all-out effort, Banfield FI's Alistair Estes threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leon Ledochowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Markus Bachman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desmond Bruner in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Forest SC were awarded a corner. Marcos Ciccaglione went to the cornerflag to take it. Woodrow Fountain was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Alistair Estes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinton Rivers, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Paul McConnell hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Alistair Estes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Quinton Rivers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 41 minute of play. With a little luck, Forest SC's Alistair Estes got control of the ball when Quinton Rivers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Banfield FI fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Banfield FI's Staffan Kämpe looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alistair Estes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthew Dotson went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Staffan Kämpe in the 67th minute of play forced Forest SC's goalkeeper Alistair Estes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Ciccaglione recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Forest SC's Virgil Zimmerman got a free kick in the 70th minute. Virgil Zimmerman's late challenge caught a Banfield FI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgil Zimmerman helped the player get up and apologised. Virgil Zimmerman kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Donovan Shields hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Quinton Rivers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banfield FI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After a rather tough play, Banfield FI's Maurício Roriz got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Alistair Estes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinton Rivers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donovan Shields kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Len McAllister took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alistair Estes. Alistair Estes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. Alistair Estes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Ledochowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
