Spectators: 9217 (Terracing: 6937, Seating: 2100, VIP seats: 180) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 6th minute Serginho Chulapa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Chulapa in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Beard in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zackary Sampson saved Evangel FC from getting behind. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Evangel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Chulapa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evangel FC's Zackary Sampson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Beard in the 18th minute of play. Trenton Long struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Zackary Sampson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brooklyn SC. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonas Cole hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The supporters of Evangel FC booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie Mejia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reed Finn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elliot Whitley hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Luís Schmidt got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gerardo Beard. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cole in the 37th minute of play forced Evangel FC's goalkeeper Zackary Sampson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bernabe Valbas made in the 54th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Serginho Chulapa however managed to control. In the 57th minute, Genaro Cornelius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Chulapa in the 58th minute of the match. Zackary Sampson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 59th minute of play. Evangel FC's Zackary Sampson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Evangel FC from getting a goal against them. Evangel FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reed Finn in the 65th minute. Evangel FC's Reed Finn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jospeh McNally in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zackary Sampson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Cole in the 68th minute. Trenton Long sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Serginho Chulapa came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Evangel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Chulapa couldn't finish the play. Evangel FC made a substitution. Bryon Betts replaced Serginho Chulapa. Zackary Sampson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mano Loco in the 91st minute of play.
