Georg Ulrich Hendrickson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Craig Velazquez firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th minute, Alfredo Di Stéfano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serginho Chulapa might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Craig Velazquez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eli Fournier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Zackary Sampson made a huge save. Evangel FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reed Finn in the 66th minute. Reed Finn made a great header on Evangel FC's corner, it was just that Misinformed Buffalo's Craig Velazquez managed to reach the ball for a save. Reed Finn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Evangel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
