Markham FC's Benedykt Waselewicz came free and shot a quick shot against goal 10 minutes in the game, fortunately Kaj Helström had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Markham FC's Bektaş Veli Tokuz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Hori in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Nils-Emil Tunström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bektaş Veli Tokuz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Bartolo Urtzi. With 20 minutes on the clock, Santo Cody commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Godofredo Hori walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 24th minute, Bartolo Urtzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Markham FC booed when Stowe City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matt Briggs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolo Urtzi came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kaj Helström could save by the left post. Bektaş Veli Tokuz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Stroh in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Niles Crane had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bektaş Veli Tokuz. Markham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niles Crane was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmanuel Stroh to make the kick off. Hank Blackburn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kaj Helström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Markham FC's Bektaş Veli Tokuz got control of the ball when Matt Briggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 63 in the game by Godofredo Hori from a close distance when the talented Bektaş Veli Tokuz managed to make a qualified save. Markham FC's players were relieved. Bartolo Urtzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Markham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Briggs came free, but Bektaş Veli Tokuz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Emmanuel Stroh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bektaş Veli Tokuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Tunström in the 74th minute of play forced Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th match minute, Stowe City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ward Neal to maneuver through the defense. Markham FC made a substitution. Wesley Driscoll replaced Bartolo Urtzi. A collision led to Stowe City getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ward Neal hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Matt Briggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bektaş Veli Tokuz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daren Kelley kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Terrell Zuniga kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Hank Blackburn kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Bingham. Stowe City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
