Peter Steele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Kirkpatrick in the 8th minute of play. Drew Casey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Pirani got free with Drew Casey in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. University of Rochester's Drew Casey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save University of Rochester from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Jorge Pirani recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Drew Casey. Jorge Pirani showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandru Eugen came free, but Drew Casey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bailey Kerns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, University of Rochester's Drew Casey got control of the ball when Alexandru Eugen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Drew Casey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bailey Kerns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Pirani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernesto Cao Xiao hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Reyes Boyle struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Drew Casey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PALMEIRAS-UTAH. The supporters of PALMEIRAS-UTAH booed when University of Rochester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxwell Calcagnini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bailey Kerns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Drew Casey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dale Kirkpatrick to make the kick off. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Ace Gallardo was substituted for Reyes Boyle. If Alexandru Eugen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andre Randall scored 3-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Drew Casey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 79 minutes into the match, University of Rochester's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Randall came free, but Drew Casey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 played minutes PALMEIRAS-UTAH got a freekick which was hit by Luis Livingston. PALMEIRAS-UTAH made a substitution. Tristan Alford replaced Alexandru Eugen. Dale Kirkpatrick's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute, Peter Steele skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 91 played minutes PALMEIRAS-UTAH got a freekick which was hit by Luis Livingston. PALMEIRAS-UTAH's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
