Match Report
Seiseki
Spectators: 9042 (Terracing: 7040,
Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 2) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Glenn Surendra got the match started through his kick off. Keon Rougier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Simmons in the 4th minute of play. In the 6th minute Glenn Surendra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keon Rougier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, CRIPS's Hubert Panday got control of the ball when Nalini Maharaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Surendra in the 12th minute of play forced Seiseki's goalkeeper Keon Rougier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Ricky Simmons notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Seiseki's Keon Rougier. Keon Rougier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nalini Maharaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Panday having to interfere. Adesh Charles kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, CRIPS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mojah Bonair-Agard to maneuver through the defense. Nalini Maharaj struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Hubert Panday didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seiseki. Danny Khan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Richard de Boissièrre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Seiseki getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Sugar Kernahan hit a great ball. A collision led to CRIPS getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Rudolph Barath hit a great ball. CRIPS's Hubert Panday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Khan in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Seiseki's Nalini Maharaj got a free kick in the 38th minute. Danny Khan had several of the CRIPS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 41 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Hubert Panday as he didn't even see the shot coming. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 53 minutes CRIPS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Franklin Yankaran who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Seiseki's corner Franklin Yankaran fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hubert Panday quite easily take care of the ball. Nalini Maharaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerald Hill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Keon Rougier came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerald Hill slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 58th minute. After 61 played minutes CRIPS got a freekick which was hit by Gerald Hill. Keon Rougier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glenn Surendra in the 63rd minute of play. Glenn Surendra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nalini Maharaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hubert Panday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Khan in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tomás Cuminao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Panday was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Tomás Cuminao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danny Khan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hubert Panday stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nalini Maharaj's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When Danny Khan fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seiseki's protests and gave Danny Khan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, one of Seiseki:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Seiseki. Keon Rougier had in the 81stth minute some difficulties stopping José Persad-Bissessar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Keon Rougier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mojah Bonair-Agard in the 82nd minute. Hubert Panday showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nalini Maharaj in the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerald Hill during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerald Hill kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Tomás Cuminao cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Hubert Panday was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomás Cuminao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Panday having to interfere. If Nalini Maharaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seiseki were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CRIPS to leave the ground with a draw.
