Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 5 minutes, Christopher Curtis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Talparo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Curtis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bird Surendra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kareem Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Oropune Village United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Russel Bishop hit a great ball. If Roger Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basdeo Mannette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Russel Bishop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Oropune Village United's Bertille Jeffers got a free kick in the 20th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Christopher Curtis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talparo's supporters rose to their feet, but Christopher Curtis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bird Surendra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabian Sammy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russel Bishop in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Roger Jones made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Sammy. Talparo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Kareem Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Curtis in the 30th minute of play forced Oropune Village United's goalkeeper Bird Surendra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Christopher Curtis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bird Surendra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Russel Bishop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Sammy having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, one of Talparo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Oropune Village United a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bertille Jeffers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Talparo's Fabian Sammy. 2-0. After a rather tough play, Talparo's Lall McFarlane got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kareem Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Dave Gooljar kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Talparo booed when Oropune Village United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerren Layne didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Talparo's Kareem Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bird Surendra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 57th minute, Kareem Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talparo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Oropune Village United's goalkeeper Bird Surendra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Talparo got a freekick which was hit by Lall McFarlane. If Russel Bishop had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Oropune Village United's goal looked a bit too open when Kareem Mendes came free, but Bird Surendra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ato Maraj came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Talparo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ato Maraj couldn't finish the play. When Oropune Village United's Roger Jones in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talparo's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Warner during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 minutes Oropune Village United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dwayne Hudson-Phillips who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Dwayne Hudson-Phillips got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bird Surendra quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 88th minute, Roger Jones ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabian Sammy was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Russel Bishop was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. After a defensive mix-up in Oropune Village United's zone, Christopher Curtis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bird Surendra came out of the goal and Christopher Curtis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Oropune Village United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Talparo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
