Roberto Modet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pudes Alves in the 6th minute of the match. Aguaity's Roberto Modet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Pujana in the 9th minute of play. If Pudes Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aguaity's Silvio Bueras in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villareal CF's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Villareal CF's goalkeeper Rosio Rugama had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horado Najar. Villareal CF's Rosio Rugama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Villareal CF from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, Villareal CF's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Bueras came free, but Rosio Rugama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roberto Modet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Pujana in the 36th minute of the match. Jesus Pujana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Modet having to interfere. When Villareal CF's Jesus Pujana in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aguaity's goalie prevented a goal. Pudes Alves scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Modet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Villareal CF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvio Bueras to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horado Najar in the 53rd minute of play forced Villareal CF's goalkeeper Rosio Rugama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Pudes Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pudes Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tirso Fuenmayor kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Pudes Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villareal CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Pudes Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Modet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pudes Alves took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Modet. Roberto Modet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Pudes Alves came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roberto Modet could save by the left post. Rosio Rugama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horado Najar in the 76th minute of the match. Rosio Rugama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horado Najar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Silvio Bueras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosio Rugama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguaity's Horado Najar got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 86 minutes, Horado Najar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguaity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horado Najar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horado Najar struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Rosio Rugama didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguaity. The Villareal CF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
