Eriberto Hermida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Atlético Horqueta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Florin Besteiro in the 54th minute. After taking down the ball on Atlético Horqueta's corner Florin Besteiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jorge Vilas quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Hermida in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Vilas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruben Oñaederra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Atlético Horqueta's Rainerio Recasens got control of the ball when Ulises Jauregui tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ofelio Mielgo charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ofelio Mielgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st match minute, Nueva Estrella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ofelio Mielgo to maneuver through the defense. If Ruben Oñaederra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
