In the 24th minute Tomas Levander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cãlin Damaschin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper 姚战桑, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 姚战桑 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Román Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Cãlin Damaschin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Levander in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 33rd minute Borussia Dortmund were awarded a corner. Yakup Sargut went to the cornerflag to take it. Gwidon Kaczor tried in the 33rd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Cãlin Damaschin a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Moreno Martins came free, but 姚战桑 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 姚战桑 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Kensicki in the 40th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Levander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Román Olmedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 姚战桑 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Román Olmedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of 姚战桑 when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Román Olmedo in the 57th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper 姚战桑 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emesto Llames to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 姚战桑 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Kensicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 姚战桑 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. CERRO PORTEÑO's Edgar Kensicki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but 姚战桑 in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving 姚战桑. That made the score 1-2 in the 76 minute of play. 姚战桑 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 87th minute of the match. 姚战桑 was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gabino Ojeda. Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 姚战桑 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andres-Sebastian Kanchelskis in the 91st minute of play. The CERRO PORTEÑO players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
