Rogerio Godoy took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clemente Clayton. Clemente Clayton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. After 26 minutes of play, 4 de Julio's Damaso Aranda made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Clayton was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute Conrado Bosch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Puente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Guayaubín's goalkeeper Clemente Clayton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Pennigan. 35 minutes into the match, Guayaubín's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Steuble came free, but Clemente Clayton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Guayaubín's goalkeeper Clemente Clayton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogerio Godoy. The referee showed Raphael Steuble the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, 4 de Julio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Steuble to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabricio Alcott to strike the kick off in the second half. Wilfredo Pennigan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Clayton having to interfere. Clemente Clayton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Aranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Bosch during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 57 played minutes Guayaubín got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Bosch. Fabricio Alcott hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Raphael Steuble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Aranda in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Clayton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guayaubín's Clemente Clayton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogerio Godoy in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Guayaubín's goal looked a bit too open when Rogerio Godoy came free, but Clemente Clayton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guayaubín's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilfredo Pennigan was slow to take the kick. During this time 4 de Julio's players had a chance to rest. Wilfredo Pennigan made a great header on 4 de Julio's corner, it was just that Guayaubín's Clemente Clayton managed to reach the ball for a save. 4 de Julio made a substitution.
