After 9 minutes, Ali Aarache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Astoria Restaurant and the Santee AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Astoria Restaurant getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ali Aarache hit a great ball. Karim Chebal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Rafik Zoheir Liegeon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Walid Karim Belkassem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karim Morceli's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. The throw-in from Chih Metref in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Astoria Restaurant's Ali Aarache. If Karim Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walid Karim Belkassem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Morceli in the 24th minute of the match. Karim Chebal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Rafik Zoheir Liegeon made a huge save. Walid Karim Belkassem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karim Morceli went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Santee AFC's zone, Karim Morceli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walid Karim Belkassem came out of the goal and Karim Morceli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Edmond Djahnine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Santee AFC defense, Amine Ghazi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walid Karim Belkassem. The Santee AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walid Karim Belkassem should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karim Morceli in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walid Karim Belkassem saved Santee AFC from getting behind.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karim Morceli was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Faouzi El Ouafi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karim Morceli got free with Walid Karim Belkassem in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The throw-in from Rabah Sofiane in the 56th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Astoria Restaurant's Ali Aarache. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karim Morceli in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walid Karim Belkassem prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Santee AFC's Edmond Djahnine got a free kick in the 58th minute. Rafik Zoheir Liegeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karim Chebal in the 61st minute of play. Karim Chebal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafik Zoheir Liegeon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Rafik Zoheir Liegeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karim Chebal in the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Astoria Restaurant's goalkeeper Rafik Zoheir Liegeon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walid Karim Belkassem made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Karim Morceli sent off a good shot on target. When Santee AFC's Karim Chebal in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astoria Restaurant's goalie prevented a goal. Rafik Zoheir Liegeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Chebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karim Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th match minute, Astoria Restaurant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Aarache to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute of the match Mourad Bencherif shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafik Zoheir Liegeon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hamid Cohen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafik Zoheir Liegeon. Astoria Restaurant's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Santee AFC booed when Astoria Restaurant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ali Aarache didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Santee AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Astoria Restaurant were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
