Melonsinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdulhamid Bridji was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute Abdulhamid Bridji shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noureddine Abbas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Juliusz Youngblood notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Stanton's Noureddine Abbas. Noureddine Abbas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliusz Youngblood in the 34th minute of play forced Stanton's goalkeeper Noureddine Abbas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Juliusz Youngblood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdulhamid Bridji in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. Noureddine Abbas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdulhamid Bridji, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chadli El-Kenz was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Juliusz Youngblood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Noureddine Abbas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Juliusz Youngblood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noureddine Abbas having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Abdulhamid Bridji notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Stanton's Noureddine Abbas. In the 84thth minute of the game Juliusz Youngblood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stanton's Noureddine Abbas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Tahar Dziri fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stanton's protests and gave Tahar Dziri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Stanton getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tahar Dziri hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Juliusz Youngblood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the referee ended the match the Melonsinho players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
