Spectators: 8393 (Terracing: 6297, Seating: 1930, VIP seats: 166) Progress's Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Progress's Mokdad Mazzid threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Souad Hindi's late challenge caught a Progress's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Souad Hindi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, San Juan Capistranso AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Souad Hindi to maneuver through the defense. Bellemou Bouteflika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mokdad Mazzid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in San Juan Capistranso AFC's zone, Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mokdad Mazzid came out of the goal and Jean-Baptiste Ouyahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Boughera Gaouaoui kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Hamid Brahimi made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Khalida Rimitti however managed to control. In the 18th minute of the game Boughera Gaouaoui made a throw-in which Bellemou Bouteflika played forward. Sid Ahmed Hamouda made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by San Juan Capistranso AFC's Abd al-Asis Metref. Khalida Rimitti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mokdad Mazzid having to interfere. The supporters of San Juan Capistranso AFC booed when Progress was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boughera Gaouaoui didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Souad Hindi to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ahmed Reda Ziani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Juan Capistranso AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progress the free kick. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Mansour Zitouni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 65 played minutes San Juan Capistranso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ben Iles. After 68 played minutes San Juan Capistranso AFC got a freekick which was hit by Souad Hindi. When Abdelhamid Hadjar fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Progress's protests and gave Abdelhamid Hadjar a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Progress's Abdelhamid Hadjar got a free kick in the 71st minute. Abdelhamid Hadjar got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. San Juan Capistranso AFC's Souad Hindi got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sid Ahmed Hamouda kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. San Juan Capistranso AFC's Mokdad Mazzid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalida Rimitti in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Souad Hindi in the 87th minute of play forced Progress's goalkeeper Rachid Cherrad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Cherrad was a little too slow when Souad Hindi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-1. San Juan Capistranso AFC played a much better game than Progress and deserved their victory. The Progress players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
