Dane Rader showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilford Colvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Theron Clements came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cadillac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theron Clements couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilford Colvin to make the kick off. Matt Kurtz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Lebrun in the 51st minute of the match. Cadillac's Matt Kurtz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Louis Lebrun in the 58th minute of play. If Branden Fagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sturgis's Dane Rader got control of the ball when Theron Clements tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilford Colvin in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dane Rader prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matt Kurtz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clément Gibbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Louis Lebrun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matt Kurtz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robbie Strickland during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sturgis's Robbie Strickland got a free kick in the 80th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Theron Clements managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cadillac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theron Clements was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Theron Clements recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dane Rader took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilford Colvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matt Kurtz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clément Gibbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Cadillac played a much better game than Sturgis and deserved their victory. The Sturgis players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
