If Isidro Fitzgerald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allen Shannon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Nicolas Tharp made a huge save. Manuel Blackwell kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Isidro Fitzgerald in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicolas Tharp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Otha Childress's late challenge caught a Coronation FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 36thth minute of the game Jules Stringer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tudhope's Nicolas Tharp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Jules Stringer sped through Tudhope's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Tharp. The supporters of Tudhope booed when Coronation FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazare Gardner didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
