In the 3rd match minute, Colpton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxwell Merritt to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guillaume Curtis in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frances Vance saved Colpton FC from getting behind. If Guillaume Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Warren Allen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Darrel Ohara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Colpton FC booed when Sarnia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Tang didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Warren Allen got free with Darrel Ohara in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hyman Richter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hyman Richter to make the kick off. When Guillaume Curtis came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Sarnia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillaume Curtis couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alec Gipson during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guillaume Curtis struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Frances Vance didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarnia. In the 81st minute Dominique Sauriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frances Vance saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Colpton FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Arturo Faucher hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Colpton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dominique Sauriol came free, but Frances Vance reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Colpton FC had played much better football throughout.
