Miguel Vernadeau was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gérard Puckett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bret Whitmore was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Cornell Blue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sherman Jordan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randolph Courtemanche having to interfere. UVIC Vikes's Randolph Courtemanche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sherman Jordan in the 38th minute of play. Sherman Jordan took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Randolph Courtemanche. Randolph Courtemanche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 44th minute, UVIC Vikes's Gérard Puckett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 48 minutes into the match, Crowfoot's Sherman Jordan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randolph Courtemanche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The UVIC Vikes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Crowfoot were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Gérard Puckett made the kick off in the second half. Angel Huang hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Mohammad Thorne took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bret Whitmore. Bret Whitmore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Cornell Blue's late challenge caught a Crowfoot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornell Blue helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Crowfoot booed when UVIC Vikes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornell Blue didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crowfoot's Sherman Jordan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in UVIC Vikes's zone, Adan Benavides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randolph Courtemanche came out of the goal and Adan Benavides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, UVIC Vikes's Randolph Courtemanche got control of the ball when Sherman Jordan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sherman Jordan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angel Huang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randolph Courtemanche having to interfere. Mohammad Thorne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes UVIC Vikes got a freekick which was hit by Jeffry Lewis. UVIC Vikes's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
