Spectators: 8017 (Terracing: 6015, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Keith Torrez kicked off to start the match. Emile McWilliams was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Ioco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 8th minute, Merrill Hadley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bastien Brunson. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile McWilliams in the 26th minute of play forced Vélez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Bastien Brunson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes, Napoleon Fontaine mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Sarsfield and the Ioco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Napoleon Fontaine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mitch Ibarra did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Bastien Brunson 32 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Vélez Sarsfield's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after John Timmons fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Vélez Sarsfield booed when Ioco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Mallory didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Dusty Hoover notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Ioco's Aurelien Langelier. Aurelien Langelier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mitch Ibarra made the kick off in the second half. Aurelien Langelier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dusty Hoover went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Bastien Brunson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emile McWilliams in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Vélez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Torrez to maneuver through the defense. Aurelien Langelier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dusty Hoover in the 73rd minute. John Timmons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bastien Brunson having to interfere. In the 78th minute Emile McWilliams shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bastien Brunson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ioco! The goalkeeper, Aurelien Langelier, was totally fooled by Vélez Sarsfield's Terry Temple, who 92 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dusty Hoover took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelien Langelier. Aurelien Langelier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Keith Torrez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aurelien Langelier came out and tried to block the shot, but Keith Torrez slotted it home off the left post making it 4-5 in the 100th minute.
