Perry Cousteau charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perry Cousteau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Perry Cousteau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gene Mott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Monroe having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Jonah Quessy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milltown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave I love Britney! the free kick. After 8 played minutes Milltown got a freekick which was hit by Jonah Quessy. 10 minutes into the game, Winford Pritchett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milltown's Gene Mott got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, I love Britney!'s Eloy Monroe got control of the ball when Rashad Hatch tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Winford Pritchett was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 14 minutes had been played. In the 16th match minute, I love Britney! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Tucker to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of I love Britney! booed when Milltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rashad Hatch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Modestine Mosley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Pickens, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Modestine Mosley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gérard Spears went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gérard Spears recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Milltown's Clinton Craven seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Clinton Craven the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Milltown protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Clinton Craven had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Milltown! Gene Mott's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eloy Monroe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Modestine Mosley came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by I love Britney!'s Norberto Pickens. But to his dismay, Norberto Pickens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Gérard Spears blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modestine Mosley having to make a save.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gene Mott to strike the kick off in the second half. Norberto Pickens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gene Mott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gene Mott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Eloy Monroe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Milltown's zone, Gérard Spears stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modestine Mosley came out of the goal and Gérard Spears tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Modestine Mosley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gérard Spears in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Gene Mott left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milltown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Eloy Monroe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gene Mott, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Modestine Mosley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Pickens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Gene Mott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milltown's supporters rose to their feet, but Gene Mott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Monroe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gérard Spears blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modestine Mosley having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched I love Britney! eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
