In the 20th minute, Riley Pitts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eli Lauzier. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 23rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Herman Whaley hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. Danny Fish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jere Pruitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Fish showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jere Pruitt in the 35th minute of the match. Augustus Rowell struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Danny Fish didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Special Forces. 38 minutes into the match, Dobermans's goal looked a bit too open when Jere Pruitt came free, but Danny Fish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danny Fish stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jere Pruitt's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Danny Fish made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jere Pruitt in the 46th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Jere Pruitt made the kick off in the second half. Riley Pitts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute, Beau Timmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eugène Becker came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Special Forces fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugène Becker couldn't finish the play. Danny Fish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Cope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st minute, Herman Whaley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Danny Fish. The goal made the score 1-1. Jere Pruitts short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Danny Fish to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eugène Becker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Danny Fish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jere Pruitt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danny Fish having to make a save. Special Forces's Jere Pruitt got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
