Canada United's Pedro Glover got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredric Gibbs in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mitchell Huston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 7th minute, Fredric Gibbs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfonso Bossé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Glover in the 19th minute of play. Absolon Mims kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Regina Fighters booed when Canada United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Glover didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Canada United's zone, Fredric Gibbs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchell Huston came out of the goal and Fredric Gibbs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cortez Goodwin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mitchell Huston. Canada United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Regina Fighters's Fredric Gibbs in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canada United's goalie prevented a goal. Emanuel Page fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchell Huston having to interfere. Fredric Gibbs in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mitchell Huston, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 39 minutes of play, Regina Fighters's Fredric Gibbs made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mitchell Huston was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fredric Gibbs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Mitchell Huston when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alfonso Bossé showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Whitney Dempsey, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilbert Dill was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Alfonso Bossé successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fredric Gibbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredric Gibbs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Mitchell Huston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Gibbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Regina Fighters's Jordan Bishop got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match Tyler Goldman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonso Bossé skillfully saved the ball. When Regina Fighters's Fredric Gibbs in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Canada United's goalie prevented a goal. If Absolon Mims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mitchell Huston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Gibbs in the 78th minute of the match. Jordan Bishop kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Mitchell Huston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Gibbs in the 82nd minute of play. Fredric Gibbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jordan Bishop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Fredric Gibbs notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Canada United's Mitchell Huston. Mitchell Huston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 95th minute, Regina Fighters's Spencer Étoile seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Spencer Étoile the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Regina Fighters protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Spencer Étoile had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 96th match minute, Regina Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Spencer Étoile to maneuver through the defense. Regina Fighters walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
