Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Filiberto Plummer started the match with the kick off. Mose Yeager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to york 9 fc getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kelvin Reeder hit a great ball. Craig McGraw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Mose Yeager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Myron French saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Filiberto Plummer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rosario Christie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a rather tough play, york 9 fc's Kelvin Reeder got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Calgary F.c's Louie Hodges broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 28 minutes into the match, york 9 fc's goal looked a bit too open when Mose Yeager came free, but Myron French reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in york 9 fc's zone, Mose Yeager stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Myron French came out of the goal and Mose Yeager tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Filiberto Plummer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. york 9 fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Plummer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mose Yeager stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Séverin Ezell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosario Christie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. If Filiberto Plummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calgary F.c's Mose Yeager got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Craig McGraw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Kelvin Reeder notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Calgary F.c's Rosario Christie. Rosario Christie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Myron French made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Craig McGraw sent off a good shot on target. Mose Yeager might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Myron French. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mose Yeager ran back to his position shaking his head. Mose Yeager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Myron French having to interfere. Mose Yeager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Myron French tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, york 9 fc's Myron French got control of the ball when Craig McGraw tried to sneak it across the goal line. Craig McGraw's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Myron French firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Calgary F.c's Lyndon Conrad got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Kelvin Reeder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. The york 9 fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calgary F.c had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
