Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilburn LondeLalonde got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Stewart Yoder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vassar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woodbridge Strikers the free kick. Stewart Yoder kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. The long shot by Agustin Miles in the 7th minute really tested Chris Labelle's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Thibault Crête had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Vassar's Chris Labelle got control of the ball when Thibault Crête tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Woodbridge Strikers's Wilburn LondeLalonde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Chris Labelle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Thibault Crête cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Chris Labelle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kareem Lemaître in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billie Ohara saved Woodbridge Strikers from getting behind. If Wilburn LondeLalonde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Macias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kareem Lemaître sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute, Kareem Lemaître left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vassar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Billie Ohara came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Vassar's Stewart Yoder. But to his dismay, Stewart Yoder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Vassar fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Vassar's Kareem Lemaître looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Leonard Burr kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Woodbridge Strikers's Wilburn LondeLalonde ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Chris Labelle. Chris Labelle yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Wilburn LondeLalonde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chris Labelle having to interfere. With a little luck, Vassar's Chris Labelle got control of the ball when Thibault Crête tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kareem Lemaître took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Billie Ohara. Billie Ohara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kareem Lemaître was the one to do the kick off. Chris Labelle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibault Crête in the 68th minute of the match. With a little luck, Woodbridge Strikers's Billie Ohara got control of the ball when Jonathan Macias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kareem Lemaître in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Billie Ohara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 78 minutes into the match, Woodbridge Strikers's goalkeeper Billie Ohara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Macias. The supporters of Vassar booed when Woodbridge Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Marquis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Macias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Billie Ohara made a huge save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Woodbridge Strikers's goalkeeper Billie Ohara, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vassar's Kareem Lemaître got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kareem Lemaître was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Vassar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 88 minutes of play, Vassar's Jonathan Macias made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Billie Ohara was left in no man's land by his defense there! 93 minutes into the match, Vassar's Jonathan Macias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Billie Ohara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kareem Lemaître had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Billie Ohara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kareem Lemaître in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Vassar could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Woodbridge Strikers throughout the match.
