The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Souris AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Baden AFC:s goal. In the 7th minute, the referee gave Baden AFC a penalty. Bryant Drummond looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Blair Belcher. Frankie Engle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair Belcher having to interfere. If Didier Sterling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Hand came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Blair Belcher could save by the left post. Didier Sterling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Frankie Engle could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Blair Belcher however easily saved by the left post. A hard shot 23 in the game by Frankie Engle from a close distance when the talented Blair Belcher managed to make a qualified save. Souris AFC's players were relieved. Valentin Walton kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Didier Sterling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the game, Valentin Walton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Souris AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baden AFC the free kick. Valentin Walton kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sam Delgado in the 36th minute of play forced Baden AFC's goalkeeper Malcom Esposito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewey Labonté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Malcom Esposito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Sam Delgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Souris AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Delgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcom Esposito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didier Sterling stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Frankie Engle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dewey Labonté charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dewey Labonté the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Souris AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dewey Labonté to maneuver through the defense. Didier Sterling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Blair Belcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Souris AFC's Valentin Walton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Souris AFC's Dewey Labonté got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
