The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlos Corbett made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Garfield Sparks sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the game, Earle Parnell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GALATASARAY FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delph the free kick. In the 16th match minute, GALATASARAY FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earle Parnell to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Mike Moïse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Carlos Corbett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Garfield Sparks's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Carlos Corbett skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garfield Sparks got free with Carlos Corbett in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mike Moïse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Corbett having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Moïse in the 32nd minute of play forced GALATASARAY FC's goalkeeper Carlos Corbett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garfield Sparks did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Carlos Corbett 36 minutes into the match. Garfield Sparks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Corbett having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Moïse in the 53rd minute of play forced GALATASARAY FC's goalkeeper Carlos Corbett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Corbett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garfield Sparks in the 55th minute of the match. When Garfield Sparks came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Delph fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garfield Sparks couldn't finish the play. Thanh McGraw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bruno Meredith tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Mike Moïse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 minutes of play, Delph's Garfield Sparks made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Corbett was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st match minute, Delph was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drew Ferris to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the game, Augustin Gamelin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruno Meredith. Augustin Gamelin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. GALATASARAY FC's Carlos Corbett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garfield Sparks in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Garfield Sparks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Corbett was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Garfield Sparks came free, but Carlos Corbett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Garfield Sparks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Corbett was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. 87 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Garfield Sparks came free, but Carlos Corbett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88thth minute of the game Mike Moïse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALATASARAY FC's Carlos Corbett was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Garfield Sparks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Moïse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Carlos Corbett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Garfield Sparks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Corbett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Moïse in the 97th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Delph players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
