Spectators: 8006 (Terracing: 6006, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) Trois-Rivières FC's Mickey Picard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Leland Trejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jessie Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jessie Rangel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leland Trejo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Kurt Serrano's late challenge caught a MTL Impact's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kurt Serrano helped the player get up and apologised. Jourdain Cullen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jourdain Cullen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jessie Rangel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Leland Trejo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Trois-Rivières FC's Jessie Rangel. Jessie Rangel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kurt Serrano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tracy Bélanger made a huge save. Jessie Rangel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Brandon went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leland Trejo in the 38th minute of play forced Trois-Rivières FC's goalkeeper Jessie Rangel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes, Edgard Brandon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MTL Impact and the Trois-Rivières FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes MTL Impact got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Brandon. In the 45thth minute of the game Leland Trejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trois-Rivières FC's Jessie Rangel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trois-Rivières FC's Jessie Rangel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leland Trejo in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Leland Trejo made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Jessie Rangel managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when MTL Impact's Leland Trejo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 54 minutes, Leland Trejo made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Trois-Rivières FC's Jessie Rangel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Edgard Brandon scored 0-5 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jessie Rangel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62nd match minute, Trois-Rivières FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Bergman to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Sal Ratté ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jessie Rangel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Jessie Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Spears in the 69th minute of play. When Kurt Serrano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. After 70 played minutes Trois-Rivières FC got a freekick which was hit by Kurt Serrano. Julian McAllister's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tracy Bélanger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. A hard shot 76 in the game by Leland Trejo from a close distance when the talented Jessie Rangel managed to make a qualified save. Trois-Rivières FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leland Trejo got free with Jessie Rangel in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Trois-Rivières FC's Jessie Rangel got control of the ball when Leland Trejo tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Leland Trejo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jessie Rangel. Leland Trejo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. 89 minutes into the match, Trois-Rivières FC's goalkeeper Jessie Rangel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leland Trejo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mickey Picard during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leland Trejo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Leland Trejo could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Jessie Rangel however easily saved by the left post. MTL Impact's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
