Edgard Brandon scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luther Costello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19thth minute of the game Antonio Moore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MTL Impact's Tracy Bélanger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Antonio Moore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tracy Bélanger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valère Boles came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Hedley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valère Boles couldn't finish the play. Hedley's Luther Costello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Hedley from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in MTL Impact's zone, Antonio Moore stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tracy Bélanger came out of the goal and Antonio Moore tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Valère Boles made a precise shot to the right of Tracy Bélanger. MTL Impact's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bertrand Lucas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Hedley's Hayden McCracken got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luther Costello made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Jourdain Cullen sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valère Boles to make the kick off. Antonio Moore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of MTL Impact booed when Hedley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Holbrook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luther Costello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leland Trejo in the 55th minute of the match. Tracy Bélanger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valère Boles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Valère Boles was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. A collision led to Hedley getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Valère Boles hit a great ball. Tracy Bélanger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertrand Lucas went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Jordan Holbrook managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hedley's supporters rose to their feet, but Jordan Holbrook was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tracy Bélanger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Moore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tracy Bélanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes of play, Hedley's Antonio Moore made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tracy Bélanger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonio Moore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tracy Bélanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertrand Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tracy Bélanger having to interfere. Jordan Holbrook kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Leland Trejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute, Antonio Moore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind MTL Impact's goalkeeper Tracy Bélanger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
