The referee gave Kingdom come a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Phil Zapata, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aylesford AFC's Marcel Trimble. 0-1. In the 9th minute, Clint Gipson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aylesford AFC's Marcel Trimble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Locke in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Aylesford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Clint Gipson. Casey Locke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Trimble having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Aylesford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Reuben Cartwright came free, but Marcel Trimble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Dickens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clint Gipson, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rudolf Francoeur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Allan Dickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Reuben Cartwright's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Trimble was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. A collision led to Kingdom come getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Paris Barker hit a great ball. In the 34th match minute, Aylesford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Jewell to maneuver through the defense. Kingdom come's Phil Zapata couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aylesford AFC. Allan Dickens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clint Gipson's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Casey Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingdom come's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Locke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Leonel Tackett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phil Zapata was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Aylesford AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jan Norris hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Reuben Cartwright got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Casey Locke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Casey Locke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingdom come's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Locke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcel Trimble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Cartwright in the 65th minute of the match. When Otha Sabourin fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aylesford AFC's protests and gave Otha Sabourin a yellow card for diving instead. Otha Sabourin kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Reuben Cartwright fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Trimble having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Aylesford AFC's goalkeeper Marcel Trimble had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casey Locke. After some careless play in the Kingdom come defense, Jan Norris kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Dickens. The Kingdom come fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Dickens should have stopped the shot. Allan Dickens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Francoeur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
