The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Serrano got free with Marcel Trimble in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 7 minutes into the match, Aylesford AFC's Rudolf Francoeur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jessie Rangel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Marcel Trimble successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 11th minute, Raymond Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raymond Bergman might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Trimble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raymond Bergman ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Norris charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Norris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th minute, Jan Norris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Aylesford AFC's Jan Norris got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Clint Gipson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jessie Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Raymond Bergman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trois-Rivières FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Bergman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Trimble breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raymond Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Marcel Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Owen Nicholson fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aylesford AFC's protests and gave Owen Nicholson a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Aylesford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Owen Nicholson. 35 minutes into the match, Mickey Picard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcel Trimble, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clint Gipson made a kick off. Raymond Bergman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mickey Picard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Numbers Brooks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel Trimble. Aylesford AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Numbers Brooks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Raymond Bergman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Trimble read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 79 minutes, Raymond Bergman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trois-Rivières FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Bergman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raymond Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marcel Trimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickey Picard in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Trimble saved Aylesford AFC from getting behind. Rudolf Francoeurs short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Jessie Rangel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Trois-Rivières FC had played much better football throughout.
