Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6002, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) 3 minutes into the match, Monarch Park FC's Hunter Zamora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Byron Lujan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zane Jarvis hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, FC Val da's Zane Jarvis fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Fernando Welch was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. In the 11th minute Shayne Giles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Welch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hunter Zamora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Byron Lujan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hunter Zamora in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Byron Lujan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernando Welch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Buchanan in the 18th minute of play. Zane Jarvis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Monarch Park FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Broderick Hoffman hit a great ball. FC Val da's Pete Tate couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Monarch Park FC. After 35 minutes of play, FC Val da's Glen Buchanan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Welch was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Monarch Park FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Evrard Beckman hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen Buchanan got free with Fernando Welch in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Monarch Park FC's Hunter Zamora got a free kick in the 51st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of FC Val da:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Monarch Park FC:s goal. In the 70th minute, Kelly Dodson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Hunter Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monarch Park FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hunter Zamora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Byron Lujan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Glen Buchanan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Welch having to interfere. During the 79th minute of the match Evrard Beckman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Evrard Beckman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 84 minutes into the match, Glen Buchanan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Welch. Monarch Park FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glen Buchanan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Fernando Welch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zane Jarvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 96 minutes, Jules Dewitt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monarch Park FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jules Dewitt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Monarch Park FC's zone, Glen Buchanan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Welch came out of the goal and Glen Buchanan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Val da were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Monarch Park FC for a fine match.
