After 16 played minutes Suquash AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Monty. Byron Lujan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Rouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22ndth minute of the game Rolando Rouse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Val da's Byron Lujan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glen Buchanan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Dobson having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Monty in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Byron Lujan saved FC Val da from getting behind. 31 minutes into the game, Suquash AFC's Rolando Rouse nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Byron Lujan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darius Martin during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabian Monty took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Byron Lujan. Byron Lujan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fabian Monty struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Byron Lujan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Suquash AFC. The audience was convinced that Rolando Rouse's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Byron Lujan was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Herschel Rainey in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Val da's goalkeeper Byron Lujan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geoffrey Kruse charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Suquash AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
